Why TensorGrip's Infusion Adhesive System Is a Winner

Why TensorGrip's Infusion Adhesive System is a Winner Main Image

Ever heard of infusion moulding?

If you have, go to the top of the class. For those of you who haven’t, here’s the lowdown …

Infusion moulding is a method of creating a moulded glass fibre component. By using TensorGrip A70 spray adhesive to coat the mould, it allows the glass fibre matte to be attached, with a bag then placed over the mould.

Once this is completed, the resin is infused into the glass fibre matte. As if by magic, the adhesive completely disappears.

What you’re left with is a resin matrix that shows no witnessing of the adhesive through to the gel coat finish.

Discover Its Popularity

In fact, the TensorGrip Infusion adhesive system is so popular that it has even been used on a world-renowned super yacht.

Crucially, by using a Tensor spray adhesive, it removes the issues associated with other types of adhesive – bonding failure, resin blockage and surface defects – and it won’t interfere with the curing process of vinyl esters, polyesters or styrene resin.

What’s more, our canister system also offers the following benefits:

  • Reduced application costs by saving time and material
  • Portability and convenience
  • The mess associated with air-assisted spray equipment is avoided

If this sounds like something you can get on board with, take a look around at our other impact adhesives and start making new bonds today.
