TensorGrip® TC43: Engineered to Meet the Challenges of Infusion Dry Lay-Up

TensorGrip® TC Adhesives is proud to offer a range of systems designed for specific composites processes. We’re continuing our commitment to specialised adhesives engineering with TensorGrip® TC43: a revolutionary web spray adhesive suitable for bonding some of the most challenging materials used in the infusion dry lay-up process.

A unique product in our Composites range, TensorGrip® TC43 web spray comes as our top recommendation when working with Core Foam Kits and heavy mats. Indeed, whilst this product has been developed to yield a powerful grab with minimum application, our innovative web spray pattern ensures an even spread of adhesive for demanding and deep crevice applications.

- Low Soak In: the web spray characteristic of TensorGrip® TC43 allows the adhesive to sit on the surface of absorbent core materials rather than soak in which is a commonly experienced issue with fine mist adhesives. This results in the elimination of reworking materials in the dry lay up process.

- Versatile & Repositionable: TensorGrip® TC43 has been designed to specification. However, this groundbreaking adhesive carries unique benefits in its suitability for  bonding mesh/flow media and foam core board.

- Fast Flash, High Tack: Composites manufacturing requires bonds that are reliable, fast and resin compatible. TensorGrip® TC43 meets this industry demand by offering a fast flash, high tack and long open time.

TensorGrip® TC43: Developed to Deliver

Beyond the advantages listed above, we’re redefining convenience with TC43. This advanced adhesive is currently available in 22L pressurised canister delivery systems and 500ml aerosol spray can.

We’ve shared some Tensor Tips on getting your experience with TC43 off to the best possible start:

- Before getting started with TensorGrip® TC43, make sure that your bonding surfaces are clean and dry. For the very best results, the temperature of TC43 and the surfaces being bonded should be between (16 °C - 27 °C).

- Prior to bonding, please check compatibility of TC43 by spraying a small test patch of the adhesive on the substrate.

- Spray TC43 about 15-20 cm from the surface. If necessary, spray another coat of adhesive in areas that appear to need more adhesive.

- If using a two way stick, spray both surfaces to be bonded, Allow TC43 to tack off for a minimum of 1 minute. Adhere surfaces and press together with adequate pressure.

- If the spray tip clogs on the professional spray gun in use with the 22ltr canister, unscrew the spray tip from the gun and clean with solvent such as lacquer thinner or acetone. Do NOT use a pin on the spray tip orifice.
