Research & Development: The Definition of Innovation From the Spray Adhesive Experts

Contributor: Sharon Bargas, Content and Marketing Strategist, Quin Global US

At Quin Global US, we spend a great deal of time talking about “innovation” as it relates to our spray adhesives, glues and canister adhesives. What I have found is that business can agree with the need for innovation for success, but can’t define what it actually means.

So, here’s our thought on what makes a global spray adhesive company such as Quin truly innovative?  To our team, the definition can be broken down and listed below:

  • Research
  • Design
  • Development
  • Distribution

Sticking to the Topic of Innovation

In a recent trip to our team in Australia, Matt Petersen, CEO of Quin Global US, and head of research and development, he gave me a run down on how he spent every day at the office.

For example, he worked directly on developing new adhesives for acoustic panels; developed two new very high flashpoint adhesives for mattress manufacturers; designed equipment to dispense drums of liquid that saves companies labor expenses and increases safety.

The research and development team’s work didn’t stop there. Working as a team, the group spent time identifying market opportunities for spray adhesives in Australia.

So, What’s The Takeaway?

Following the words of Quin Global’s owners, “Bonding doesn’t just apply to our adhesives. Always listen to customers and give them the right product that ensures success.”
