There are often frustrations with bonding foam, including the high cost of equipment to apply the standard adhesives of the industry.  One of our "glurus" recently observed a mattress manufacturer in their foam gluing process, bonding foam to foam.  What he noticed was that their production method was to apply a latex adhesive in the center of the surface to be bonded, then to frame the surface with a coating of aerosol contact adhesive to enable an instant temporary bond until the latex cured.  The process was long and painful, causing extra steps and using too many adhesives.

The Tensor rep, instantly sensing an opportunity for improvement, stepped in with a fast-drying spray contact adhesive which the purchaser had been somewhat leery of.  But… when our spray adhesives expert stepped into the production line and demonstrated to the workers, they were blown away with how quickly and effortlessly the adhesive bonded foam.  Not only did it reduce the number of steps that had to be taken, it also cut the application time in half.
